TelData is currently interviewing for exceptional Account Executives with experience selling Structured Cabling Systems.

 

GENERAL SUMMARY

Works with general guidance to interact and respond to customer requests. Performs on-site walkthroughs and creates new business opportunities. Additionally, this position develops bid proposals and makes presentations related to customer projects.

 

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES/ KNOWLEDGE

  • Interacts, communicates with and responds to existing customer base to identify and respond to sales opportunities.

  • Attends customer walkthroughs and project meetings to determine project needs and implement solutions for current customers.

  • Develops, maintains and creates relationships with client, vendors and internal departments.

  • Meets or exceeds established annual sales quota.

  • Specifies, designs and estimates materials and labor necessary for project completion.

  • Responds to Request for Proposals and develops project bids.

  • Follows up with referrals.

  • Deliver concise, organized, comprehensive presentations of Structured Cabling Solutions.

  • Need to be a highly motivated and goal oriented individual, who expects to out- perform all expectations, by demonstrating a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.

  • Able to meet specific quota expectations.

  • 5+ Years Outside Sales Experience within the Telecommunications Industry.

  • Attain monthly sales quota and meet required sales activity levels, including, but not limited to, proposals and appointments.

  • Develop prospect target lists including location, interconnection requirements, potential revenue, and other necessary information.

  • Prospect for business customers through cold calling (phone or in person), networking and lead generation.

  • Develop and implement sales plans that provide clearly defined strategies, tactics and timeframes.

 Requirements

  • Need to be a highly motivated and goal oriented individual, who expects to out- perform all expectations, by demonstrating a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.

  • Able to meet specific quota expectations.

  • Expected to manage and grow an assigned geographic territory.

  • Need to be professional, articulate and highly competitive to succeed.

  • Must have at least 5+ years of sales experience with Structured Cabling systems selling Voice, Data, & Fiber Optics in local Marketplace. Security and or Telephony experience a plus.

  • Knowledge/ certification in medium to large enterprise environments.

  • Experience with and expert knowledge of the Structured Cabling market for all products and services including Voice, Data, Fiber Optics and Cable TV.

  • Effective oral and written communication skills with customers and sales personnel.

  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.
