This employment opportunity involves promoting sales to customers directly and by assisting and supporting independent security sales representatives. Handles associated research, pricing, delivery, and quality. Makes customer sales calls in conjunction with independent sales representatives. Devises necessary sales strategies, routing plans, sales meetings, correspondence, instructions, sales meetings, as well as attends tradeshows. Maintains a high level of product knowledge and conducts training seminars for dealer personnel.

Will sell service contracts, parts, moves, adds and changes, etc. Qualifies prospects. This role involves high activity prospecting.   Effectively performs needs assessments, develops sales proposals, estimates, specifications and presentations.

Works with operations, finance, legal and other inside and outside resources as needed to obtain the sale.  

Follows through on sold projects to ensure satisfactory completion. Ensures smooth sales to operations turnover and monitors progress. Assists in resolving installation, collections and other customer satisfaction issues as needed. Assists customers and potential customers with problems involving the use of company products and services and recommends suitable resolutions accordingly.

Prepares accurate and thorough sales activity reports, forecast reports and expense tracking. Participates in civic and professional organizations, and sales department meetings, workshops and seminars. Keeps current on market business and product trends. Continues to pursue in-depth product and service knowledge and acquire deeper selling, technical and financial skills.

Skills:

Good working knowledge of the security industry, specifically CCTV, Alarms and Card Access. Requires 3-5 years of previous experience and exposure to working with groups of independent sales reps. Must have ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Ability to assess and understand multi-channels of distribution and analyze competitive environment within the industry. Must be proficient with Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Proven sales experience necessary.
