TelData is currently interviewing for exceptional Customer Support Dispatcher

 

GENERAL SUMMARY

Works with general guidance to interact and respond to customer service requests and route service and project technicians. Manages day to day responsibilities with decision making capability for assigned duties & responsibilities.

 

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES/ KNOWLEDGE

 

  • Monitors locations of field personnel and develops approximate time schedules.

  • Operates OS to retrieve subscriber account information.

  • Input data such as change of service and rescheduling of service data.

  • Inputs via Operating System Time, available time for service calls based on field personnel availability affected by various operational conditions by various operational conditions.

  • Maintains radio communications with field personnel.

  • Answers phones during and after normal business hours.

  • Compiles, maintains, and prepares various operational reports, logs and files.

  • Compiles, schedules, assigns and prints work orders for the following;

 

  • Structured Cabling Systems

  • Security

  • Telephony

  • Wireless

  • Trouble Calls

  • Service Changes

  • Assist with scheduling questions and troubleshooting.

 

  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

  • Punctual, regular, and consistent attendance.

 

 

Requirements

  • Need to be a highly motivated and goal oriented individual, who expects to out- perform all expectations, by demonstrating a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.

  • Able to maintain workload under pressure as service requirements demand

  • Expected to manage and grow an assigned geographic territory.

  • Need to be professional, articulate and highly competitive to succeed.

  • Must have at least 1 year of dispatching experience within the communications field. Structured Cabling, Wireless, Security and or Telephony experience a plus.

  • Experience with Structured Cabling market for all products and services including Voice, Data, Fiber Optics, Wireless, CCTV, and Telephony.

  • Effective oral and written communication skills with customers, sales, operations, back office personnel etc.

  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.
