Teldata Systems Inc, Leading Telecommunications Company has an immediate opening for has immediate openings for full time Cabling Technicians from entry level to journey level positions. We provide 4 lines of business and career growth opportunities; these include Structured Cabling Systems, Wireless, Security and Telephony. We also have openings for technicians in all other lines of business.

  

Principle Duties & Responsibilities:

Responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Installing Cat-3 & Cat-5 Cable

  • Installing Cat-6 Cable

  • Installing Coax Cable

  • Installing 25 pair, 50 pair, 100 pair Cable, Etc.

  • Terminating

  • Installing patch panels, wire management, racks, Etc.

  • Organize and assist in installation of SCS projects including key customer interaction

  • Coordinate with the Project Manager and Director of Operations in routing and scheduling to meet labor and forecasting requirements

  • Complete job site documentation, including safety reports, daily project reports, and review/approve daily time reporting

  • Identify and document scope changes in order to complete timely Change Orders

  • Conduct trouble shooting and diagnostics

  • Test and certify infrastructure system with industry standard test equipment

 

Summary of Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Two or more years industry experience

  • High School Degree

  • Understanding of all aspects of the Structured Cabling System implementation

  • Excellent verbal, written, and communication skills

  • Excellent knowledge of EIA/TIA, building codes, standards, premise wiring, testing copper, fiber, safety L&I requirements and physical cable plant knowledge

  • Understanding of Outside Plant & product & installation

  • Understanding of Electronic Security System product & installation a plus

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • PC and network literate (word, excel, Microsoft Project, Visio, Outlook, Adobe)

  • Current infrastructure certifications

  • Fiber Optic training/certification

  • Must be highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks and projects to completion.

  • Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.

 

Requirements:

  • Must have a valid Driver's License.

  • Must be available for after hour’s deployment to customer sites.

 

Salary: $14.00-$35.00 an hour DOE
